Well I installed my extended studs and 15mm spacers today. I knew 20 or 25mm would look better, but this is close enough for me and I got the 15mm spacers for a steal.

If you guys are wondering, I am running the 8.5" with 245/40/18 on the front, and the 8" with 225/45/18 on the rear. They are nearly identical in diameter and look very similar, but there's a little FWD stagger going on.

My wheels look HORRIBLE, but are going to be powdercoated sometime in the next month or so.

 

Looks go to me. Dunno why you think those look horrible? I need to do spacers too...just another project on the list. Is it just the angle of shot or do your rear wheels have some neg camber?

 

They do look like they have some neg camber, but I'm pretty sure that's just an optical illusion from the fender curvature.

If you saw them up close you'd understand... I repainted them about a year ago when I got them from some dude who had spraybombed them black (looked horrible). Now they are fading/chipping and looking overall beat up.

 

Looks good. So what color are you getting them coated?

 

Going to be the brightest/shiniest silver they can do that aren't metal flake (solid color).

If I don't like that or they don't have a silver I like, I may go for something Shiny/gray like the G35 rays.

 

I believe the beam has -1* of chamber on each side stock. They sit good, any rubbage yet?

Nope. I previously had the 245/45/18s (came stock on these wheels) on 8.5s in the rear and the rubbed pretty bad when I was carrying anybody in the back seat... but with 225/45/18s on the 8" wheels in the rear, no issues thus far.

it looks good for reverse stagger, i think the 15mm spacers made the wheels flow with the car better...

 

car looks great! the spacers definitely make a good deal of difference

 

hmm, i thought Z wheels would set flush, i had to roll my rear fenders to stop mine from rubbing.

Why not run a 245/40/18 on the rear as well? A 245/40/18 size tire needs at least an 8 inch wide wheel to be mounted on and that is exactly what you have.

 

He'll rub for sure if he does. I know I did with a similar setup and spacers.

 

Very much correct. I would have to roll fenders to run wider tires in the rear. Plus it's more weight that I don't particularly need.

 

im thinking of spacing my AE, trying to have my fender sitting half way on the tires looks good though 25mm would probebly be flush like u said
