Maxima #3 - 2001 AE Black dropped on G35 19" Coupe Wheels & Stillen Kit
Well here is my Maxima #3 - a 2001 Anniversary Edition 5-speed Black/Black. Bought her from the original owner, bone stock, in mid april 2010. She had a few issues that I had to fix and didn't put her on the road until mid may. I have done a few mods to her so far such as:
Stillen Kit
Tein S-Tech Springs
KYB GR2 Struts
G35 Coupe 19" Rays Wheels
245/35/19 Nexen 3000 Tires
I recently completed a bunch of maintenance to her as well such as: new MAF, spark plugs, amsoil mtg 75w90 tranny fluid, cleaned throttle body, oil change, passenger control arm with ball joint, rear brake pads, neutral/reverse position switch, cabin filter, new alternator, and a few other items. She was in disgusting shape when I bought her, and the body is still full of flaws that I plan on fixing.
I have a few more mods planned for her (tinted windows, budget y-pipe, frankencar intake, full aftermarket audio, 3000k yellow fog hids, 4300k headlamp hids, etc). I really didn't want to mod a maxima again, but I decided to get her as a "run-about" car when I sold my G35, so that I could eventually buy a condo downtown toronto.
Anyways enough with the rambling and onto some pics...
and a pic of my old G35 for giggles...

The overall tire diamater is almost identical (just 0.4% less) compared to factory, and that is one of the primary reasons why I went with 245/35/19

I am thinking of doing the 2002-2003 front end as well instead of repainting the current front end, but I really don't wanna drop anymore cash on this car....but the 2k2/2k3 front end looks quite a bit more modern and agressive.

I like the fog lights better on the 5.0 front end, but that's just my opinion. I put the 5.5 HID's on my AE though and I love the look. I may have missed it but how many miles?

no plans for 5.5 gen headlamps, or any other mods for the moment. i was considering an entire 5.5 gen front end (headlamps, bumper, grille), but have decided not to waste anymore money on it. the car really needs new paint, at least the rear bumper and front bumper. if i decide to keep it, I will be getting a budget y-pipe, new exhaust tip finishers to sit flush with the stillen kit, and installing the HID's that I have (3000k yellow for fogs and 4300k for headlamps). I also still have to install my frankencar intake, and thoroughly clean the engine bay.
despite driving smoothly and quiet, it is slow. i was considering selling it for a 5.5 gen or a 3.5 5spd altima. the problems with the 02/03 maximas (oil burning and notchy/grinding 6 speeds) scare me. however my 3.5L never burned a drop of oil in my G35.
the 4th gen in the picture is friend of mine, I do not think he is on maxima.org.

Thanks guys. Garage is the Ingram Micro / Wells Fargo building at Hwy 10 and Brittania in Mississauga, ON Canada.
I got bored of the car very fast, and returned it back to bone stock. It has been parked for the last 7 months, and will be used as my winter car. I have a different project now (which I am also starting to get bored of lol):
