My craigslist gem in the rough

i bought this car for 650 off of CL bc the guy was told by his mechanic that the motor was shot, long story short, a few sensors cleaned and a new set of battery terminals and a extra ground to the tranny and she runs like a cat with its tail on fire.. it needs a little work but is more then worth it in the long run this is what i was driving before i got this 97 running
and this is my new baby

interior needs some work and engine is dirty right now but that will all be done in the next 2 weeks im redoing in the interior in all black and gonna clean up the bay and maybe put a CAI on it

Paint, wheels, and lowering will fix the exterior. Interior on the other hand.....It shouldnt take much to get it in good shape.

The cars I've had that I loved the most are the super cheap of free rides that just keep going and going like that one. I get really attached to em'. Nice job sir. I still miss my old 94 Tercel that had a second leaky engine in it that smoked when in reverse that I bought for $450 out of the paper I gave it to a friend and it's till on the road.

Got this Max for $400 the other day on Craigslist.....dude replaced the starter and the next day the car wouldn't start and he broke the key in the ignition out of frustration.
Took my mechanic with me and got it started in 10 minutes and convienced him to sell it for $400 instead on the listed $900 on CL.

BTW it's a 5speed.

OP, the car is a decent start. Needs a lot of work but for $650 you can't complain.

Enjoy it.
