The ones on the gold wheels are RE01R's, which I use mostly for autocross and don't usually have on the streets, so I can't say how they wear. They have about 2 or 3k street miles and 15 or so autocrosses and aren't showing any wear whatsoever except some outside edge scuffing (need more front camber).

They're great tires though. Higher performance, but also quieter and better ride than my SPSport01's on the street wheels. Hard to find these days though, they were discontinued like 2 years ago and replaced with the RE11 (which I've heard are even better)

they're the stock 4-pots from the 06-07 wrx (they changed back to 2-pots in 08+). But yeah, they're made by Sumitomo like the z32s, and are almost identical in design.

no kidding....and woudln't you know that the 30-35 offset wheels I had for the max would be a perfect fit on an STi.

ANd the G35 18s look HOT on an STi.....a local girl has them and they're great looking.

Looks pretty sick with the yellows. I want to take the Grand Prix out next season for autoX and see how it does just for the hell of it.

I can tell you that the RE11 are a great tire. And tread wear isn`t that bad either.

Yeah, I like the RE01s that I have, but turn-in is not great IMO. For next season I'll probably go to some wider Star Specs since they have a bit better response than the RE11s I hear (plus they're cheaper).

For street I have 235/45/17 SPSport01's, which are decent performers and good for 25k miles or so with AWD...

I doubt I can ever go back to FWD. And not sure why I would go to RWD either...AWD you can drive it like either type depending on what you want to do
