- Yeah, but they usually have supporting mods. Once you have a turbo or the likes, people will lay off. But racing seats in a stock autotragic? Come on.
- It's called blending. Any good painter realizes that the paint will fade over time, and adjusts the OEM paint mix they're using to compensate.
- I'll believe it when I see it.
- yes all in properly
- floored, auto is faster than stick because of the TQ converter, and a auto can be manually shifted without needing to release the gas/press down the clutch.
- hell i just wanted no more rust, dont care what it looks like really
- exhaust group deal is ready in around 2 weeks i guess
i just have a $170 speeding ticket to take care of in the meantime

- Autotragics shift faster, but sticks have better gear ratios. Trust me, I've driven both now. The 6MT 5.5 is a LOT quicker than the autotragic.
- So paint the car primer grey.
- Pics or it didn't happen.

ignore the random stuff on the floor, getting rid of it right now and getting rid of the old stock belts tonight
as much as i hate Maaco, ive heard that if you prep yourself and let them spray you can get a good paintjob so i might do that
and i would have gotten more done when i put the interior in, i broke my left leg a retarded way years ago so its always been a bit gimpy and i must have twisted it weird a few days ago and it swelled up like a watermelon
its better tonight though and i can move it again

cliffs are i leaned back to wing a baseball to someone, and something felt really screwy suddenly and hurt like a bish when i leaned, thought i just sprained something so i walked home, sat for like 5 hours, and it swelled like nuts. got a ride to the hospital and i somehow cracked my left femur
doctor couldnt believe i walked on it after. i guess i leaned in the exact way to fk something up

Chrome I really like it & good luck with the paint job I cant wait to see it.
dont get me wrong, i'm not defending the person who painted that bumper and fender because they clearly didnt blend the door to better match the color. but you get what you pay for.
and chrome91, maaco sucks. if you've never prepped a car for paint get ready for poop on a platter because they'll spray over nicks chips and sand scratches and tell you what i said above. you get what you pay for. find someone close to you to guide you in the prep and to a better place than maaco

maaco uses their own paint for their all over paint jobs. the metal flakes are usually too big so it looks ackward. not to mention the fact that they wont sand and buff the car out for their cheappo price. if you go somewhere else to do it and they burn the paint then you're stuck. better to spend a little more now that alot more later
I had my car painted at Maaco, and it turned out really well. The one I went to is a certified repair shop and uses Dupont paint (versus the Sherman Williams most Maaco's use). You can always ask for final wet-sanding and buffing. If I get mine resprayed any time soon, I'm going to have a couple coats of clear sprayed on there and have them wet sand and buff it out. The shop I went to in Raleigh is great, and they do amazing work for the price (considering mine cost $250...)

the thing is here theres dozens of places that paint so i might not try Maaco
alot of people do that, lots of the Intergra guys put Honda badging in place of Acura and such, big deal
Toyota Soarer (Japan) and Lexus SC300 (NA) are the same car, just North America has the Lexus badging, who cares

If you don't mind me asking, what exactly is JDM about your car?

well the thread is like a train, it was on the rails at first, then it started shaking, then it derailed, blew up, and crashed into a school of children and bunnies.
