Maxima meets Magnum

so last nite i'm on the way to the hospital to see 2 of my boys that were in bike wrecks. come up to this light and a car turns. cool. then the magnum behind him decides to. so i hit the brakes and lay on the horn and it was too late, i hit his car. i stop in the middle of the road to look right at the road he was turning on to and what do i see.....he is still driving and trying to pass the car in front of him so i'm like fawk that!! i turn around and chase him and call the cops. he turns into a neighborhood and pulls into a driveway. then the buick that was behind him turned into a driveway a couple houses down on the other side of the road. i come down the road and just stop. the magnum flies out of the driveways and comes haulin down the street and passes me going the opposite way. so i turn around in either somebody's driveway or yard, i dont know and dont care. then by the time i get to the end of the street he is going around the corner and he is moving. so i pull out and chase him. i'm passing cars on the double yellow line and i know he had to do the same thing because he wasnt that far ahead of me. i follow him for about 4-5 miles and then he pulls into CVS. he gets out and i block him in and go off on him! cops came and the guy in the magnum says he didnt know we hit...... guy said it was his step dad's car and he just died or something like that. then he ended up recognizing me from school and whatnot.

then the magnum behind him decides to.

so you were turning left going one way and that idiot turned left going the opposite way?
hopefully his insurance covers the damages...

Sounds like he was driving straight at speed when the Magnum made an unsafe left turn from the opposite side of the intersection. At least that's what the skidmarks and damage tell me.

Did he get a ticket for the hit, and for running from the scene? Or did the cop downplay it since the guy said he "didn't know you hit"?

Well, thankfully you can get that all fixed up for beans. All you REALLY need is a fender and lights. I'd nearly bet money that the bumper will buff out adequately enough. Even if the bumper is cracked along the seam where it meets the fender that can be repaired easily/strongly with $5 two part plastic weld (I've done it)

Heck, if you're patient enough you can find a used fender of the same color, and easily come out under $100 total. You'll only be out a pinstripe

Sue/harass/threaten the dude into giving you the $2k and pocket the rest

in SC we have uninsured motorist insurance and i can go thru my insurance but i would have to pay my deductable and all that bs. then i went to the ER cause my back was hurting me the next day. so i got some muscle relaxers which i had to pay for, lost wages from 4 days of work, repairs, etc. and i'm gonna contact him and let him know he has 30 day to get me the money or i will go thru insurance and they will suspend his license and then i will have to take him to court to get the rest of my money. then to top it all off he's going into the military
