Nice. IMO think you should ditch the KA24 though. I'm not saying that you should do the common thing and plop a SR20DET in there...even though, that'd be cool too. I just think that motor never did that platform justice. I hear you can pick up an LS1 pretty cheap these days....

yeah ive had thoughts of the lq9, lsx, and a vq swap (as i have a spare one in my garage)...but i dunno yet....i could always build the engine and sell it later to fund a swap

the KA is GREAT for boost! and it also works just fine for drifting (if thats what your in to) since my buddy has proven it multiple times in his old 240 with stock motor!

as for swaps, the ls1 will be wayyyyy to much power for that little thing! I have witnessed it first hand. he couldnt get traction no matter how hard he tried! but, the nissan sport magazine had something about the mount kits for the vq35 swap for like $500!

(edit) must have just skimmed right over the 5spd swap part! nice job!

yeah i like the thought of boost on the ka..as ive been in a couple that push 350-400hp @ around 3400rpm...its pretty fun....

however the long term plan is another engine swap - the vq is tempting...the vq37 is even more so

dont LS1 swap

if anything SR20 swaps are readily available, but KA24 are still good engines. i would just boost the KA

IMO the best would be a RB20/RB25 or even RB26 swap

VQ swap in there period. It's a clean start for that mileage.

the vq37 would be pretty tough to do... the vq35's are so common and available in many trims! tried and true tunning not to mention bolt ons. you might be able to pull off the vq37 swap but itll be very difficult. i would personally just save a little on the vq35 n buy some bolt ons! youll make about the same power!

sr20 won't pass emissions and is kind of grey market, I vote 350sx or LS1-sx

i have a 240sx too. i have a rb20 and i will never turn back unless of course a 1j steps into the picture but with the rb it is very cheap around my area. i find the motors and trans etc. for about $650-$750 with about 45-50k miles on them. ive always wanted a convertible one though...you have it good...they are so rare to find and the ones that you find are pretty pricey. good luck with your build
