All you need is to clear the amber and black out the headlights, maybe some chrome amber bulbs for the rear signals and of course the damn drop!

please dont repaint the lip black if it's already color matched. It looks so good the way it is now. Even if you do black out the headlights, keeping the lip body colored will give you a cleaner look. I'd even go as far as to suggest painting the grill body colored too.

I'm not a big fan of those side skirts either, but if you like it, keep it. Hurry up and get the suspension done though. It looks tacky from the side with the stock springs. You'll be happy with the ride the Illuminas/progress setup gives you. That should have been first over wheels and the kit, but as long as you get to it eventually.

Nice ride. Looks good right now as is, IMHO.

I am surprised so many feel they must "do the drop"

One of the things I like about the Maxima is that they have some ground clearence. Makes it easy to keep it in good shape, not scraping the front while parking, etc. Higher clearence is also helpful in snow.

The cars look good either way . . . so of course if you must drop it . . . have at it!

Coil overs aren't going to be fun if it's your everday driver IMO. Haven't put em in yet but I got the Illumina's also. With sport tech springs that will lower the car 1.4 all around. Nice even drop. I got em off a site called autoanything.com they ussually have a really good discount promo on that site. 10% off AND free shipping I will keep you posted on the results if you'd like. I was told that these springs are comprable to Eibachs in ride and durability. The reason I choose them was I wanted the evn drop the Ebachs have 1.8 in the front and .8 in the back. The car looks great maxy! Keep at it.

I beg to differ. It's actually alot more fun. Also, it's more comfortable than my previous spring/shock setup.

Really? I hearnd that std that it's a much less comfortable ride and that streets riddled with pot holes is no good for coil overs. I guess it depends on where you live, being in staten island I decided not to go with them.. Although I really did want them.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and compliments! much appreciated, if i can find a good deal on good name brand coilovers ill jump on it but i know for a spring and struts suspension the illuminas and progress would work best for me considering i have 4inches worth of wheel gap i like to run on low pros in summer as does everyone else so of course more wheel gap, as for the grille im most likely going to keep the one i have on i do agree i love the clean look

like the front/rear lip, hate the skirts..as far as drop...you MAY want to make sure you do your research as far as coilovers go...ill just say this...i spent at least $500 if not more for my spring/strut setup...a few hundred more and if i COMPLETELY did my research, i would have went coilovers from the jump, as i had the cash. BUT, if you want spring/strut..i'm on dropzone/illuminas (2in drop) feels like stock on stock wheels..or at least when i had my g35s (245/40/18 tires on em) still felt like stock..ill have mine for sale in the next few months...

Everyone has their own opinion i prefer the more aggressive look as opposed to the more common clean look sometimes but i have my car mixed with both feature.. as for the coilovers as i said if i find a great deal i mean i dont plan on dropping it until the spring so i have plenty of time

Durim, I am so happy your not selling Maxy. That said your car looks awesome, you def need the drop like no other. I say paint the lip black again it makes the car have more of an aggressive look IMO (Go glossy black tho). I am gunna paint mine this week black again. Your gonna love the Illuminas though the ride is amazing.

Thanks Durim, once you do your drop the whole look of the car will change. Personally if I were to drop my Maxy again I'd get coilovers.

Please do not black out the headlights. I agree that clearing out the amber would look good though. Keep the lip the body color as stated. Also as stated, the side skirts aren't what I would choose but it's your car. It looks so nice yet still has a sporty look from the front.

Suspension would always be the first mod so that will definately help.

If you went with a wheel that was not as dark, it would make the paint color pop better and in turn that would show off the wheels better too.

Over all I really like the front end. The rest of the car will folow when you do suspension.

sideskirts killed the car for me would look way better with regular stillen skirts plus you dont need coilovers just a nice drop with some ok springs would be fine

By AE i mean paint the housings glossy black not tint and replace the amber with a clear lense which would make it flow really well with my car! but yes i like the sideskirts i gave my 5.5gen skirts to a friendd

everyone is titles to their own opinion HOWEVER if you want to be unique and stand out from the rest of the crowd you have to go with different looks! The skirts provide a very aggressive look to the car a nice head turner i dont like to have the same look as everyone else with the common clean look of the entire stillen lip kit or keep the stock sideskirts, my max is a head turner!!
