RX7 Wheels

I picked up a set of FD RX7 wheels off of craigslist. What do you think?

I agree. These wheels came with tires smaller than stock, turning a 3 finger gap into a 4 finger gap.

Keep rims, lower car a slight bit, and get correct size tires...

They look good to me but IMO either black them out or get them painted gunmetal.

Thanks guys!

I'm not going to paint them, I think they match the clear corners, fogs, red/clears fairly well as is.

I will get correct size tires when these tires wear down.

It already has a mild drop on illuminas. Coilovers are definitely in the future, but headers are coming first

Looking at the first picture, does anyone else see a face in the windshield??

What springs are you dropped on?

I'm on Custom Enterprise springs that came with the Illumina kit.

I have no idea WTF it is or where it came from. As you can see in the other pics, there's nothing that could have cast a funky shadow on my car. There was/is nothing on the windshield. And no one else was around when I was taking the pics.

You should get some H&R's! Or Eibach's..

It's so creepy that that face is there. Sell your car, it's haunted!

It also kinda looks like someone is looking into the car through the rear window in the second pic.

Hey, not bad at all. Like stated a few time above, drop her, bigger tires, and you're set. Great pickup!

They are the reinforced version which are ~16lbs each, 16x8 and +50 offset. Wheel/tire combo is 1 pound lighter and 1.5 inches wider than my stock SE 5 Spokes with tires.

I'd rather get coilovers so I can set the ride height exactly where I want it.

Its in my sig so you can look at it every time I post

I think I see it...like some dude looking through that quarter window on the passenger side?

$200 for the set. Tires are Potenza RE750's with about 50% tread left.

I think the face in your car is smiling at me. I think your car might be haunted too, at least that is a good theft deterrent!

But the wheels look good! I think a drop will set things off also.

Any advice on attacking the swirl marks?

I am seriously thinking that the wheels are haunted.. That face showed up in the first picture I took after installing the wheels, and the car started pulling to the right. Put the stock wheels back on and it still pulls

You have the 5mm spacers in rear or open ended lugs?

Not the best looking but I loved the light weight while still rocking 225s:

Neither, I read your threads about it. I bought an open ended lug nut to test it out and the stud didn't extrude past the nut when torqued to 80 ft lbs, so I've been running the stock lug nuts.

I will note that the stock wheels back on because the car starting pulling to the right and I don't want to destroy these tires until I can get this issue resolved.

Looks pretty good/sporty, remind me of the old 300zx wheels folks use for their drag radials....that face is hilarious and a little spooky! Reminds me of a combination of mario and the masked V for Vendetta dude...

Amazing what tires can do for looks....I couldn't tell at first if those were 15" or 16"...look a little smaller than the stock SE 16s I guess due to the shorter spokes on the RX7 wheels...
