Im workin on the boosted part so the CAI stays, and since i've never heard of a Hydrolock problem with cars that have Ram Air intakes such as my friend's 2000 something Mach 1, i doesn't believe ya

The true spirit of a car enthusiast right there. However this Maxima is just a fun mode of transportation to me now cause the Javelin can spank a brand new porsche and it's a bit better of a platform to build my plaything on.

Did you spray paint those tails black?
They look dark as h#ll and have no gloss what so ever.
The red painted red Nissan center cap is a bit much as well.

That doesnt even make sense, once you go boost that that intake is useless.

For you sake I hope your rigth about the hydrolocking, cause a few here have already done it.

WHAT?

In most to all cases, proper Ram Air are built to direct water away from the intake as to not suck into the engine.

Good luck with that...

Racecar! Drive through some big puddles and let us know how that CAI works! Tinting the spoiler light is illegal but spraying your taillights pitch black isn't? How does that work.

i was thinking about the same thing. i say get some more 95-96 tails and lenses, tint them just enough to compliment the headlights, get some 00-03 wheels on a mild drop and leave it as is. GL with the CAI as well, hope there isnt any flooding in your area

@Offroading, yes it's so much fun slinging mud on the rednecks' trucks that get stuck in 4 inch deep mud.

@Tail lights, some ******** spray painted the back of my car black which messed up my clear coat pretty bad and took me 20 hours of working on that to clear that up. and i had to redo the tail lights. and i had clear lenses under the black and pretty bright bulbs in them

@CAI, i thought everything through before i cut that hole, seeing as how there's still a massive hole directly below the engine, if the water comes up far enough to come through the hole i cut, it would just go throught the hole under the engine.

@Muffler, it's got a longer tip because it has a removeable silencer for it.

Maybe not in the 619, but here in the 310, weve got areas with bad roads and huge potholes; big enough to accumulate enough water to form a swimming pool . A street with a huge dip/rain gutter filled with water while raining was the culprit behind me getting hydrolocked (that and the fact that I didnt put my splash guards back on ). I couldnt back up because there were cars behind me so I had no choice but to drive through...
