I was wondering if you got those. They wouldnt hold my hood up so hopefully theyll be weak enough for yours.

They should be weak enough. Mine still held up my old hood so they're FS.

Will chime in later

They look good, but could look better if they stood out more, the black just makes them hidden. If it were mine, I'd go for a different color.

Damn VJ. Looks crazy.

This is where I'm at currently.

39mm ET up front on an 8" with 245mm tires
28mm ET our rear on a 9" with 245mm tires

I'm probably doing 225mm with a 24mm ET up front soon.

Not exactly lowrider wheels, but here's my '98 on 18x9.5 et30 (et25 in rear with spacer). UAS air bags on D2 Coilovers with Accuair fully electronic ride controller. I can go quite a bit lower, but I just got my new tires and haven't had a chance to adjust the ride down some and roll the fenders more.

I ain't been hiding per se, just still haven't finished the trunk completely (the wood still needs to be covered with carpet). I have the install set up so all I have to do is remove the power, ground, air lines, and ecu connections, then unscrew the center spare tire nut and the whole assembly comes out as one piece. I'll be sure to take some pictures of it next time I pull it out to finish covering the wood.

I still have a couple thoughts for a see-through trap door. Also playing with the idea of possibly making hard-lines from the compressors to the tank, and from the tank to the solenoid block.

As far as the ride goes, it is amazing. I can quickly make small adjustments to the ride quality by either adding a touch of air or letting a little bit out. It sails on the highway and can be nice and tight around the twisties. I wish I went bags over coils from the get go. There is sooo much more usability with this suspension setup for day to day use, it's ridiculous.

Here's all the goodies laid out when I got them in:
