new toy to play with

I posted a similar thread in the 4thgen section but here are pics. not sure where the project is going to go at this point but it'll be fun no doubt

Picked up 97 maxima last week to tinker with, the price was right although it did need some work.

more welding




ran out of argon while adding the angle iron so I had to use a 70amp stick ( gas shop was too far and they were closed.)




Engine bay cleaned up with a 1 of a kind Racingline strut bar. I might triangulate it later

not too sure yet, besides prototyping some parts I think I'll keep it simple. I have my pathfinder that will be getting the majority of my money for the next while. but @ less than $800 into the Max so far I'm sure I can find a few things to do before it becomes a "money pit"

i was talking to you a while back when i was in iraq about getting these strut bars made for us! im so glad you found this lil guy for so cheap! lol... i even made a thread to find the interest in them! all i know is im down for one here pretty soon! and a triangle one would be oh so sweet! preferably a sold triangle at that! you going to use the two bolt holes on the firewall behind the throttle cable thing?

as far as handling goes... install the rear strut tower brace along with the front. For me made a HUGE difference in the way the car felt. Much more balanced.
