I'm not a fan of the red lip on the rims and the front lip but the rest of the car is clean. Not bad, not bad.

hey dude...nice start on your 5th..i looked at your front end and was confused because something looked off..when i realized you didnt have skirts, i said 5.5 front conversion lol. get some skirts and you should be satisfied. as far as not liking the spoiler...i do...but you can go spoilerless, get a roof spoiler and maybe a m3 style spoiler from ebay..

like chris said, not a fan of hte time attack style anymore, but as long as you like it..do work. whats your other plans for it?

you'll have to keep your eyes open on the forums (partouts/straight side skirt sales), check junkyards, etc. i'm about to lock mine in today and go talk to the guy and tell him this week or next week, more than likely next week, i'm going to get my side skirts...probably go ahead and prep them and test fit them so i can just shoot them to my body guy, and let him spray them and touch up/buff my car while he's doing all of that

turbo would be fun...i'm not very educated as far as tuning/turbo/s/c but i do know the end results end in boners and hard nipples

so let me get something straight, am i missing the side skirts? or maxima dont come with skirts? Im confused, because i was looking on ebay for some skirts and prices are good but shipping is damn expensive like $150 just shipping, i always keep an eye on the forums.

I agree, to see a red stripe mimicking aftermarket wheels on OEM wheels just looks really cheap. Tie it together with a homemade lip and the overall look is low budget.

on 00-01s they dont come w/ the side skirts unless you have the 01 Anniversary Edition maxima, look up 'moncef33', he has one. the other maxima in the body style that comes w/ OEM skirts are the 02-03 maxima

*edit* found a thread he posted with pics of his car..thats the (01 only) anniversary edition with the OEM skirts

well I like to do work on my car, not just buying expensive things at the end if you end up selling your car or doing part out nobody will give you a peni for what you already spend on it, + thats where the fun is, well Its just me, I like to work on my car and do all kind of things that i think looks good.

As do I, I just choose to use quality parts.
Nothing wrong with fabbing up parts for your car to give it some uniqueness, but buying floor stripping from Home Depot and attaching it to your car doesnt really fall into my categaory of custom fabrication.
As far as selling or parting out a car, I can honestly say you can get some pennies back for what youve put into. Granted, you will never get back dollar for dollar, but to say nobody will give you a penny for what youve spent is just not logical.

you'll figure that out with this forum..but along the lines with 'wasting money' you in essence wasted money, regardless if you had taht sitting in your garage...on your next few items you purchase, continue to do research and try to make those purchases ONE TIME and not have to go back unless its maintenance/repairs that need to be done. other than that..do your own thing. thats what set THOSE guys apart. i'm not saying im a fan of the HD lip, but i'm saying do your thing

The lip looks like the Mach1 lip to me, the material looks a little bigger than the garage door liner. The max still looks better than 50% of the 5th gens on here.

Hey, I like it. Not bad. I'm neutral on the Mach 1 lip, however, without sideskirts it doesn't really look right. I'd say either lose that or pick up some skirts. I also agree that the red stripe on the wheels should probably go. Doesn't flow with the rest of the car.

I would also black out that window trim to go with the painted side markers and tinted windows.

Overall, not a bad start.

The lip can look good on some cars, but it makes the bumper look narrow at the bottom, when it would look better "wider" with a normal lip kit.
