Haha yeah I was just annexious to take some pictures so didn't clean everything thoroughly. Ride is good for how low it is. Will be a lot better once I get my front passenger side axle replaced and the back rubs a little on big bumps so I'll have to raise it up just a little. I hate Oklahoma City roads

Very nice. You're off to a great start. Maybe powdercoat the hood pins black or gunmetal so they blend in more with the hood.

I see where you're coming from, but I respectfully disagree. I'm all about tying things together and having a "theme". Hood pins, in general, are nothing more than a cheap accessory to keep the hood secure. IMO, they should blend in and "disappear" with the hood. Conversely, if the OP had the expensive black Aerolatch hood latches, would you tell the OP to paint them silver or have them chromed to go with his theme? I think not. That's my .02 cents.

Didn't mean to derail the thread...carry on fellas.

Thanks, if I were to guess how much less it weighed, I'd say at least 25lbs. Didn't really have to compare the weight.

Thanks, I might photoshop the hood pins black and see how I like them. But I'm practically done with this car lol. MIGHT get a rear valance but that's about it for exterior mods. I have all of the performance parts waiting to be installed then I'm completely done with the car besides maintainence.

Looks good ... But you need some spacers in the back so you can put the center caps on.

F*ck people who hit and run!!!!! I was at the gym and they announced that some dark nissan got hit in the parking lot so I ran out there to find out that someone backed into my front end. There was a witness but he couldn't get the tag number. Called the cops and they couldn't do much except keep a look out for a car that might be the possible suspect. The witness said it was a new Impala. They backed into my car (I DON'T KNOW HOW SOMEONE DOES THAT IN AN EMPTY PARKING LOT. I PARK FAR AWAY FROM EVERYONE and this took place at 11:30 PM). My front bumper, passenger side headlight, cf hood, fender are messed up. So my question to you all is, should I go through my insurance (I have full coverage but deductible is $1000), or fix it all myself? The above parts are what I can tell are damaged, I haven't inspected everything yet. Also how much do front bumpers go for now a days? I'll post pics later because I know the statement "no pics, no care" will be coming.

So I filed a claim with my insurance yesterday. I'll be paying the deductible ($1,000 OUCH) but I think damage would be more than $1,000 so I'll let a body shop handle it. My insurance rate will not be going up (THANK GOD). Here's the damage, the cf hood is pretty much gone, I don't think it can be repaired but can be salvaged and used for other CF parts if I knew how.

and yesterday they put me in an impala (same car that hit me) so I went in today and came out with this:

So about 2 weeks ago while my car was at the shop, there was a break in and my car was one of the ones that got broken into. They broke my rear driver window to get in and stole my sub/box/amp/wiring kit/safc 2 and since they couldn't take out the OEM navigation, they destroyed it. Good thing was that the shop agreed to pay for everything and make it the way it was before. 2-3 days after that, my insurance called and said they're totaling the car since repairs for the hit and run was over 60% of the value of the car. For the past few days I've been taking off all the parts I can and now trying to get into a new car once I get a check from my insurance.

Here's some pictures

Before break in:

After break in:

As of yesterday (4x4):

Unbelievable. One thing leads to another and in the end, a beautiful car is destroyed.

I can only hope that scumbag piece of **** who hit you and ran gets what's coming to him. The car wouldn't have been broken into like that in the first place if it didn't need to be in the shop.

I never really bottomed out or didn't even scrape my lip. Only problem I had was with rubbing but that was only on bumps

"What is this some kind of sick joke?"

Sorry to hear about the break-in that blows they decided to destroy stuff when they couldn't take it.

It was a black 07.. Called up there to make sure they still had it and the guy said yeah I think so. Drove up there and they told us it was sold last night. So the search continues
