My new old school Max

I bought it like 6 weeks ago with 101k... So far I've replaced what I knew needed to be replaced, added some oem fog lights, 17 inch xxr 006 wheels, intrax springs to go along with the toks, and a stillen lip kit that has yet to be installed. I got the VE-5 simply because I wanted a good, reliable, and fun car as a daily driver. Needless to say I've put more money into it then I had expected. I have fallen in love with this car but once I'm done fixing a minor issue I'm having I'll be putting my full undivided attention to my first love, my pearl white 99 se. Here go some pics of my VE-5. Sorry for the crap resolution, been so busy I'm using my cell phone cam.

How it looked when I bought it.

First morning after the day I got er.

Added the wheels

Added fogs and another Max (My lil bros red 93 VE-5) to the household.

Gettin er done! Intrax springs added to the tokico blues.

Dropped VE-5 sitting next to my bros Stock VE-5

Good work! The car looks nice and clean. What is the drop on the intrax springs? I had ST on mine and the rear looked like it sat lower than the front so I put eibachs on the rear of mine to raise it back up a little.

Damn, that is one clean 3rd gen, you'd never find a car in that sort of shape anywhere up North. Even clean 4th and 5th gens are becoming harder and harder to find. Keep up the good work man.

Thanks everyone. The paint isnt flawless but it sure does look good in pics. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I wish I could afford to get the lip kit painted and installed, I'm actually thinking about installing it with out paint but i'll probably end up waiting.

Thanks man. IIRC I think its 1.75 all the way around. I had ST springs on my first 3rd gen back in the day and had the same issue. So I was kinda scared that it was going to look like that again. but to my surprise I actually think it sits just right, Im happy with the stance and the ride.

Me too! My first car was a 1990 Cream pearl white maxima se. I loved it. Thanks.

Thanks. When I found it I immediately knew I had to have it and it was cool to find out it belonged to an org member. That was like a bonus lol, So I jumped on it quick. Thanks man, will do.

Seriously clean. I usually don't even like 3rd gen max's, but I not only like this, but I would proudly own it.

Preciate it. Its hardly been driven for a couple yrs but I'm about to bring back up to A1 condition. Every time I turn it on I just sit in there for like 15 minutes thinking about how good it's goin to feel once I get a new clutch in there.

Cool. Well I know its kinda late notice but there's going to be a little cruise on sunday afternoon. We're goin to meet at the Southfield Building on Ben White and 35 right next to the Walmart at noon and we're going to ride to Opie's BBQ on 71 in Spicewood TX. Its going to be hondas and mustangs, I need some nissan support lol. You and Flava should see if ya'll can make it. A friend of mine organized it and he told me to invite who ever wanted to come.

Your 99 is nice and all, but I don't even know how it's possible to like a car more than that 3rd gen. That is exactly how mine would look, if I could find one that wasn't rusted/beat beyond recognition.

I am so jealous of that 3rd gen. BTW, where would be the best place to get OEM fogs, because I can't seem to find a decent set at any of the local JYs

95 maxima se & Flava:
Its all good. We had a pretty good turn out. So now another meet has been scheduled for Sunday, May 15th. Hopefully you both will be able to attend this one.

Rods03Max619:
Thank you sir!

j-dawg:
Thanks man preciate it. But IMHO I love my 4th gen more then my 3rd gen... I bought my VE-5 to keep low miles on my A32. as of right now its got 68k original miles, Perfect tan leather interior, oem bose system is still in great condition, and runs like a champ. Just like my first 4th gen this one has ***** out the box! I just love it. All it needs is a clutch and drivers side axle and its back! I'm about to bring it back to life once I get back on my feet. Thanks though for the compliments.

road_warrior05:
Thanks. Im not sure man I'm actually lookin for another set my self... I always check ebay and local junk yards but no luck yet on ebay. I think someone actually has one fog light for sale here on the org in the 3rd gen classifieds and I found one at a local junk yard in decent condition. Id just keep checking your local salvage yards, and the org classifieds.
