Finally strayed away from VQ land.... (KDM Inside)

After a few maximas, i decided to try out something new. I was shopping around for a few cars (props to irish44 for helping me out with some questions i had) and made a decision finally.

As a current owner of a genesis coupe (2011 2.0t r-spec), nice purchase. How come you went for the base model?

Sadly enough I HAD to have either the Mirabeau Blue or Interlagos Yellow. Then upon research i find out the IY is only available in the V6, and the r-spec only came in the black white or red.

So I'm guessing the reason you didn't get another VQ was because power didn't matter to you any longer? Good DD, but pretty weak overall.

Stock the 2.0t is slow. However as soon as the car is reflashed, things change. Plus it is a good platform for modding.

Probably didn't buy it for the fuel economy but how is the gas mileage in this for you so far?

+1

3 simple/cheap mods can change the look of that thing drastically:

Paint the Hyundai emblem and headlights black
Debage the trunk

It'll look 10x better IMHO and the stock wheels will pop. Which is a good thing.

Wtf is wrong with this guy, good that he got banned haha.

The genesis coupe is the newest tuner coupe. Its pure competition for things like the infiniti g coupe, 370z, 335i coupe, and more. Yes the 2.0T only has 235(?) hp stock but as soon as its reflashed it gains alot more.

Nice car OP, I love those.

Thanks! I originally wanted the Interlagos Yellow, but of course in the good ol limited when it comes to cars USA, its only available on the 3.8. This was my next choice

Why yes of course, why should power matter?

Exactly, the reflash plus basic bolt-ons and the car becomes completely different. Seen 280wtq with it.

I guess that would make sense, but afaik no details have been released.

Rated at 23/30 i believe. I do have a pretty heavy foot so I avg about 19mpg combined. If i do decide to cruise on the highway for a long stretch i avg about 25-28mpg

Debadge definately in the plan. Headlights will also be blacked out. I'm also gonna just get the genesis wing emblems instead.
