So I lake modded my car today...

long story short, i was getting off the freeway after work and my tires are a little bald i started to spin overcorrected and landed in a ditch full of water...
no i was not speeding, doing maybe 30mph on the off ramp and two i panicked.

here are some pictures, i am letting it dry for a couple of days at my mechanics shop hopefully after it drains and dries maybe it will be driveable.

Sorry to hear what happened.

If that's as far down in the water as it went, you should be fine. Did any water get inside the car? If so, it wouldn't hurt to remove the seats so you can take out the carpet and give it a good cleaning. There are areas under the carpet where water can pool up in the floorboard area, so it won't dry completely unless the carpet is removed and the water removed with a wet vac. Dirty water that gets in the car and underneath the carpet will start to stink, especially on a hot summer day.

I've cleaned many cars that got water inside of them, and this is the best method for making sure everything gets cleaned and dried properly.

there was water inside my car as deep as my pedals as well as water in the passenger side and water even into my rear seats. so idk my mechanic is tearing it apart as we speak well see if there was any engine damage. yea im alright just mad at myself really.

the car was actually tilted more on the drive side, I couldnt get around to take pictures from the other side but it was bad. Water as high as my pedals and it did creep into all 4 seats it was as high as where the leather begins in the back seats.

My mechanic told me my car will be fine, just needs to have the cc replaced and it might need a new driver seat motor. he will run it again today and see if anything new pops up. so i am grateful it was not worse, i do need to do a few things
new flooring for the car
new mats
new tires..so i will be putting my eurolines back on finally! aw yea!
i need 2 new amps to run my 12's and my mids and highs
and that should be it.

Glad your OK. I have hydroplaned my self and ended up in a similar situation, minus the water in the ditch. It was scary as hell.
