Talking I'm Back, again...Picked up another 4th Gen.

Can't seem to stay away from the .org or Maxima's. They just keep calling my name. lol Anyway, Picked this up last night. 98 SE 5-speed. Has high highway mileage. 297k, but has been a highway commuter all its life. Car runs great, all original, no mods, all stock, and there is not a THING on this car that does not work. Paint still shiny, interior is non-smoker and clean. Has that Maxima smell. BOSE system still cranks out really good. IMO, the car is really clean for the mileage, and year. I walked away from the deal at $1000.00. I think I did alright. Only thing I will prolly do is, put a slight drop on it, maybe some wheels, and drive it. Don't plan to mod it up crazy like I have my past cars, that's getting old. I'm loving the color too. Think its called Sage Green Metallic? That is all.

Agreed. Nice pick-up.

I would also do fog light mod & hid's. Not much else really needed as our 4th gens look sick with nice drop and wheels.

Happy modding.

It's a 15 year old car with almost 300k on the odm. Do you seriously expect the tan floor mats to be in perfect condition...

Who cares about the color or the floor mats, the thing is in great shape for a 15 year old car and he paid $1000 bucks for it. Plus it's a 5 speed SE with Bose and a sun roof.

That's an awesome deal bud. Hell if the VQ dies just pick another up for cheap and toss it in and keep driving it.

CEL was an easy fix. Came up as a PO110 (IAT Sensor). Looked on the side of the intake snorkel, and the IAT wire was unplugged from the sensor. Guess the PO didn't plug it back in when he did the starter. Good thing I looked, because there was also a small vaccum line unhooked. lol. Anyway, at least that's out of my way.

Ordered some NEO-5 LEDS for the dash cluster. Sick of the yellowish dim back lighting look. Also, got my subs in and my new radio in.

Whats up Paul?

Congrats on the pick up.

Looks like you got a smokin deal on that one!!

I have been sitting on a bunch of OEM 4th gen parts since I let the last one go. If you want them I'll load them up and bring them up your way. I really dont have a use for them. They are yours if you want them. IACV, intake mani, coils, door handles, all sorts of random stuff.

Take care man. PM me if you want that stuff.

Same old stuff I suppose. Work.

Still wrenching on Nissans in my spare time. Searching for a spec v senta to stuff this altima se-r harness, trans, and 90k mi motor into

Should be a fun little car when Im done with it.

I havent fully figured out if I can use Uprev/Osirus on the '05 Altima SE-R ECU yet. It would be nice if I could.

Thats a sweet BMW you've got there BTW. I spotted the reflection of that beast in the paint on your new 4th gen.

Anyway, hit me up one weekend we should hit the parkway and burn a little 93.

And so it begins..........Y-pipe is on the way, and I also picked up a set of Tein Basics, hope to have them by weeks end. Sorry, but this is the only proper way to lower a 4th Gen Max is on Coils. There is no other way. But I'm partial to coils on these cars after my last 4th that I had on coils. Hopefully these wont be as stiff though. lol

Well, since they were already together, took me less than an hour to do all 4 corners. They are not very stiff at all. They do not lift you out of your seat or throw your head into the roof. lol I like them.

Waxed her up and put some Maxima.org stickers on it. 35+whp gained in the seat of my pants.

Still runs like a top. Right at 298,500 now and loving ever minute of it. Just stuck a set of I30 Limited Perforated Leather Seats in it. Looks much cleaner now. I am in no way a huge fan of tan interiors, but this one is growing on me, especially after the seat upgrade. Now it needs 35% tint all around.

same old, same old. i really tire of the mods that can be done on a max. i want another car just to have something else to look at. i'm thinkin of an olds 442 or maybe a camaro. your car is cool, but dumpin all that money into it at that mileage, is well, your choice i guess.

So far I still have less than $1500.00 into this car including the purchase price, I30 seats, y-pipe, intake, and tint, I wouldn't say that I'm dumping money into it. My truck...now thats a different story...
