Tuner's G35 6MT Sport Sedan Progress Thread
Huge thanks to everyone for the kudos and comments!
The latest, she is rolling. Some stuff to be done of course, but it's alive!

Thanks Pezz! They're awesome little cars. I think steering feel is one of the most massive improvements vs. the maxima, though the improvement list is vast.
Also, look for an upcoming update May 9th. She will be tuned by the fairly well known Canadian 350Z Guru, Sasha. It currently has a decent base tune that I've plugged into it, I'm currently tuned up to about 5 PSI of boost, not sure if I'll try and go higher than that, I think I'll wait for him to tune it past that point. This thing wants to go!!!

A quick teaser though, Playing with my new go pro while doing some light load tuning pulls today. (yes, that IS really light load. Under 70% TPS. It's going to be a little ridiculous under full throttle when it's ready.)

Oh cool!
Look what the forum does when you paste in a Google Map link!
Most likely, even 380whp which people will be like "hahaha thats nothing" until the ride in a car putting down 380whp on boost. My own car scared me and its probably putting down less than 320whp.
Yeah its just a number. I'm hoping for a flat torque curve. One thing for sure is this car wants to fly!!! And its not even tuned much yet!

And yes bob those Vids are Tuning pulls. Everything is super rich right now until its adjusted then you lean it back and work timing in. Rich for safety. I've wanted to try the 2 stroke thing for a while but forget about it. I'll try it on the Maxima before I put it in the G, and I'll talk to my tuner about it also

My concern is how it effects the octane rating and burning properties of the fuel. Especially when you factor boost into it on stock engine internals. Adding it could cause a problem if the car was tuned with regular run of the mill ethanol free 91.
First off, I'm not going to argue about this, we know each other better than that. I'll just point out what I know as true & be as concise as possible. Adding TCW-3 oil @ ~640/1 ratio WILL NOT lower octane rating or fuel characteristics significantly & cause problems. A bad tank of gas would probably do worse. The TCW-3 additives cleans carbon & gum deposits inside the engine over time. In effect slowly restoring lost engine efficiency. It's not a quick fix, taking a minimum of 2-3 tankfuls to start working. But the engine will eventually run noticeably better/smoother. So I'd doubt there's a major difference w/ boost & stock internals added in as a factor. Food for thought, TCW-3 oil removing deposits in the combustion chamber may actually benefit a FI engine more than NA. Since carbon deposits make hot spots that can cause detonation under boost. Also cleaning the ring packs to help normalize compression & leaving a lubricant film on the cylinders/valves after combustion can't be a bad thing for ANY engine. Consider the importance of that in a boost w/ stock internals situation.

Like I said before, when you sell this I got dibs lol. I say lol but i'm actually quite serious!
g35 is my favorite all around car and you've done Soo many nice and tasteful mods, congrats!

There WAS a thread...now it seems to be gone.

It's available at auto parts stores and wal-mart, it's Marine two stroke oil. You don't care about the brand, all you want to make sure of is that is states TC-W3 compliant.
ONE OUNCE per 4-5 GALLONS of gas. 15 gallon tank=3-4 ounces of TC-W3. I put in just a hair under 4 oz whenever I fill my tank and it works great.
I measured the dB level of my engine at idle both before and after the TC-W3, and after the TC-W3 it's 9 dB quieter.

PM me your facebook shenanigans dude and I'll let you know when I'm rolling by.
And awesome that you did that dB thing,

I'm looking forward to it Rochester. Should be a nice shakedown for your car as well I imagine! Do you have any ambition to drive this thing, or are you going to play it by ear after I take you for a drive in it

FYI: It will be raised up from it's previous driving height soon. It's too low right now for race duties. Time to sacrifice some looks for some performance.

Although I'm sure to be more gentle with it than you are.
Balance, baby.

Oh, absolutely... if you're offering and you don't kill us first.

Agreed. I'm guessing the only way it can stay that low and perform well in your auto-x events is if you tighten the suspension so much that you can't use it as a DD.

lol. Should be fun. The only issue with the low right now is the full size 245 wide tires on the front, if I hit a bump and I"m turned to full stop the fender could bounce down onto the tire. Correct though, tighter springs could fix it. Or -1* of camber. Which I might do, because race car.
