New Developments 2015

Been awhile since I posted any updates on here.

I sold my AE back in 2013. Picked up a turbo 5.5 gen 6speed and I'm in the process of redoing it.

So far I've replaced the engine harness, core support, hood, bumper, grill, headlights, installed a handful of upgrades to support the garbage azz kit that was on there, and swapped wheels.

^ During her first shakedown drive. Yanked the o2 sensors and tuned the car with my new injectors and safc2, and got decent mileage overall. Put 400 miles on it in 1 weekend without a hitch.

I just pulled the motor and I'm prepping a new one for installation along with a new turbo kit, new turbo, new fuel system and new software.

Also got this as a daily. 02 6speed with AE front end. Shipped it here from Mass. Gutted precats and coilovers are the only 'mods'.

I'm running a small tuning parts distribution company that is working on a handful of things for Maximas and other VQ powered cars.

Thanks for reading, have a great day Maxima.org. Thanks for the wealth of information over the past decade.

Nice arsenal. The 5th gen bumper on the 5.5 throws me off.

Did the turbo 5.5 have a dyno done before the rebuild?

Yea but the AE bumper is nice IMO.

I never dyno'd the turbo 5.5, it would have been pointless with the kit that was on there. Rusted, leaking, small piping, turbo had a lot of shaft play. Still made enough power to max out the 470cc injectors that were in there so I'd say around 350-360whp @9psi.

The new kit I have is going to be more efficient and make more power per pound obviously.

Thanks! I have a handful of more pictures on my Instagram if you are interested in looking on there. @admintuning

I will be posting on here periodically with relevant updates to the cars.

The coilovers on my silver car are seized up so I bought a new pair today. I have some other maintenance I need to take care of as well.
