96 Maxima Temp gauge

Hi Guys,
I am the latest new guy here, If anyone can help me with a couple of questions that would be great. Thanks all.

Question: Why is my temp gauge needle vibrating up and down like crazy but only happens once in a while. I concerned because the Chicago winter is on its way.

Again, Thanks to all. looking forward to the feedback

There is a sensor responsible for the gauge reading under the hood on the drivers side.
Follow the radiator hose on the drivers side from radiator to the block and you'll see two sensors plugged in.

Make sure the first plug is tight, but be careful..it's pretty fragile.

Other than that you may just need to tighten the screws on the back of your gauge cluster.

That's all I can think of and to the org.
