New around here

Im new to the forum, and to Maxima's but not to cars. Around Knoxville Tn. Picked up a 2000 GLE about a week ago, and thus begins the madness!

Welcome!

So many possibilities of things you can do. Start by getting the service manual that is referred to as the FSM, Factory Service manual. You can download it from here:

http://boredmder.com/FSMs/Nissan/Maxima/

The file named fwd.pdf is the "cover page" file, the starting point.
The file named idx.pdf is the alphabetical index file.

There are 2 versions of the manual for the 2000 year model based on VIN #
Look at the last 8 digits of the car's VIN.

for VINs up to and including YT 012236, YT 211680, YT 527429, or YT 740491, download the 2000 (early) manual

If your VIN is after the above groups, download the 2000.5 manual.
