Rough Ride

Hey Gang, I've got a 2003 Max GLE in great shape, still under 100K (just!) and although I'm a good driver, I'm no mechanic. I've been told by reliable wrenchers that the struts and springs seem to be ok for their age...but with the lousy roads here in Denver, I'm getting my fillings rattled everyday....I do need tires soon...and that would help...but any ideas to smooth out my ride?

Thanks

I'm with you

I just bought a 2000 Maxima and it is great on the highway, but when I hit my country roads I can understand your loose fillings. Sorry I can't help with a solution. I'm a newbie too and no mechanic. Just found this old car that was in good shape and decided to go for it. Always learning, and these forums are fantastic source of information!

News flash! I replaced my struts all the way around and my car rides great! My 2000 has 194K and I think the struts were original. Fairly easy job to do myself and WOW what a difference!! My wife will even ride with me now!
