Hi there everyone! I just got my first Maxima. A 2008 3.5SE. I used to turn wrenches on aircraft and weapons systems. Now I work on metal art, jewelry, and hopefully my new baby. I got an automatic so that my partners can drive her. Neither can drive a manual, and since it has the shifting mode I figured, why the hell not, let’s jump in and go HAM at it. So, since buying it, I’ve found that the clock spring needs replaced, the blower motor, and windshield, and some odds and end trim pieces which I am going to try to pull from junkyards. I know she is a 6th gen from what I have been researching and trying to learn about. I’m hoping that I can dive in with y’all and get real familiar with her and be able to get her tuned to performance and dress her up to look better than new. One of my first questions is will parts fro 2004-2008 Maxima work interchangeably? I found some at wrecking yards I can go pull from, and I just wanna make sure I’m not blowing money. Also, the fuel pump has been acting up with the start up pruning issue from what I gather is common in this series. Should I just run some beer through her with a fresh tank after burning her down to E and see if that clears the gunk? As well, any suggestions? :3 Hope everyone is having an awesome day!!!!!
