I have used maxima.org for a long time now and have learned the Maxima is an amazing car but can be frustrating to work on. Im finally posting because I need some help identifying a part for the VQ35DE engine in my 2007 Maxima SE, I am almost finished rebuilding. I look forward to posting my experiences, frustrations, and tips rebuilding the engine for this car. Ill post the pictures I have taken as well as much of a detailed description of my experiences. If I can get some help with this one item it would be greatly appreciated. The hardware I am trying to identify is, I believe, some type of plug (coolant/oil) that came off either the block or the heads. I do not know if there is supposed to be some type of washer or o-ring on it. Don't be a stranger!
