If you take out the whole grille on the 1995 max and put in the Trenz (billet) insert for the 1997+ max it looks like it should fit.
If anyone has tried this please let me know!!

First, if you want to post a picture you have to upload them to an online location before you post. They can't just be posted from your hard drive. Second since a regular 97-99 grill does not fit, and the Trenz grill replaces this grill it seems that the trenz grill would also not fit.

 

It won't fit, because I bought a 95-96 SMX grille to put on my car and never bothered to have the bodywork done to it in order to get it to fit.

The 97 grille is larger on the bottom left and right hand sides of the grille (assuming it's level and facing forwards on the car). And as a result, you won't be able to get a 97-99 Trenz grille to fit on a 95-96 without cutting something. (bumper, grille, whatever ..)
