Thank you for all of the replies regarding the cost of a new MAF. It appears that Nissan sells two different parts for this.

We have the MAF sensor, which seems to sell from $62 to $110.

We also have the other MAF part that seems to sell for around $500.

It seems to me that the cheaper of the two is the part that is really needed to fix the intake induced problem.

This would irritate me if I spent $500 for a $62 part.

The ESM states nothing about having to tinker with the ECU with a sensor issue. It does state that to determine the problem you have to use the diagnostic tool (Consult II) so that the ECU will reveal the problem. Is that what you mean by saying the ECU needs to be adjusted?
