has anyone used the nissan maxima cover?

the trees and bushes around my home are popping open and ive noticed that an enormous amount of crap is ending up on my car EVERY NIGHT! i wash the car and in one night it is covered in green things.

have any of you used the cover? how do you like it?

is it machine washable?

I'm considering purchasing one myself. I have a carport not a garage and these d@#n stray cats that my neighbor feeds keep getting on my car!! I bought some cat repel stuff from Petsmart and I sprayed it on 2 100% cotton towels and I laid them flat on my hood and trunk at night. Hopefully this will help keep them away. If not then I will get the cover.

I'll be picking one up in a couple days. It was $99 from my dealer with a 10% discount. The locking cable is an extra $10 - $20, I believe. What I've heard about it is positive, however, some aftermarket covers are lighter. I can post my impressions after I receive mine.

I used mine everyday in the Fall--it wasn't any inconvenience at all--the only complaint is that sometimes the pollen from the cover would get on the car when I wasn't careful taking it off--other than that I highly recommend getting one

good point--I didn't clean mine at all during the Fall so the only downfall I mentioned is avoidable if you rinse/wash it once in a while

yeah, i think my bro ripped his too, but that's cuz he used the washer at home and not a big front loader kind.
I thought the material was thin and weak. but it does it's job: keep off dust. Dunno if it's waterproof? It says it is, but I think it's just a spray they use (probably washes off too)
