just a weird question here...next to the dash dimmer there is a weird empty cap thing that looks like there could be a button or something there...does anyone know what the hell option could go there? what feature could this be? its driving me nuts. i cant think what could go there at all. please let me know if you know.

one is for the alarm and the other is for heated mirrors i thinks

 

last i heard is if you have traction control that the button that turns it on/off. this was also only an option on auto 99's.

 

That is where the electric fuel door release goes on I30s.

 

just to clear up anything, i have a 1995 se and the two spaces on the left of the stearing wheel are the cruise control and the security light. on the right of the wheel are the dimmer switch and the empty space. now ive gotten 3 different answers so i dont know which one it is. does anyone know for sure?

 

well the one im refering to is on the far rignt side, but i think it all depends on the make(max/i30) and the year the car was made.

 

yup the one im talking about is the far right side too...youre probably right with the model and whatnot. thanks. i was just curious because i couldnt think of what the hell could go there.

 

good....that was driving me nuts trying to figure it out on my 95 gxe...couldn't think of any other option it could be, glad the cat's out of the bag.
