300zx VS maxima

I drive 1995 5 speed maxima GXE with 300Zx rims.

My oppenent, my younger brother, has 1992 300ZX Nonturbo (222 hp) 2 seater with 5 speed.

which is faster car?

how about automatic vs automatic transmission?
if anyone raced against vs 300zx, please tell us.

times on the NA Z's are very similar to the Maxima. i would have to say it comes down to the driver.

I ran down a lightly modded Z32 N/A when I was bone stock. My money is on you.

here the 411

When i was bone stock and so was my body , he had a 300zx all motor, and we were but autos... I would kill him to 60, but then once we would hit 60 he would come back and pull on me and then once we would hit around 120 it would stay the same, with him about 2 cars in front...since yall are both stock, and both 5 speeds im going to asum the race will be the same.... u will rip him a new *** hole to 60 becuase the maxima has alot more torque, but the 300zx has alot more hp, but if you can hold your bro off, then big props to you , u have driving skills....

i would have to give it to you, assuming you are a good driver. they have the hp numbers but have trouble backing it up when racing. and the auto's are very slugish, my buddy just got one. but watch out for the TT those are crazy fast

If you have a Maxima 5-spd, you should beat him if you can drive it well. I took a non-turbo (I assume) 300ZX even at highway speeds of 100mph - 125mph or so.

Since you are both auto, neither of you have a car advantage. It all depends on who has the better launch, who has more in the trunk etc. Best way to know...go race him and let us know what happens.

4th gen Maxima is much quicker than a N/A auto. they are like 8.2 to 60 very heavy, I have whipped up on several in my 97 auto. Even 5spd 4th gen is quicker than a 5spd stock. Like 6.6 nest vs. 7.0 best for Z.

i have both car my self,91 300zx auto 2+2,96 max. se auto, since i can drive both car at the same time,i'll have to do it with the gtech,my 300zx has intake/header/st.catback,and my 96 max is bone stock, the z is heavier but with the mods it's much quicker to me,the other day i was driving my z on the road at night and this black new mustang gt with 260 hp approach me and we were driving about 80 mph,and we pull hard to about 125 mph and then i slow down,he couldn't pass my z,i don't know if his an auto or 5sp,anyway,the speed limit down here is only 55 mph u know what i mean,i'll try to see if my max can pull with my z,i'll keep you guys post later,
