Was sitting at a late next to an older guy in a v8 cherokee not expecting anything. He floors it and then I do a few seconds later. Not pulling on him really but not losing. So at the next light I'm waiting to go but there's a cop on the otherside of the road. So we both stay even up to 40 and then punch it when the cop is gone. It was pretty dead even up till about 85 then I started slowly pulling and then I completely demolished him up to 100. I don't know if he stopped or they just don't go that fast at high speeds.

 

u stock?! dam what year was taht cherokee? my uncle swears he'll murder me and i drove his car, it has a lot of torque but i think i can beat it, especailly now wit CAI and all...u just strengthened my confidence

I'm totally stock and an auto. My advice though is to race him from a roll because they have 4wd so they are really quick right off the line. You would probably still win from a stop but initially he would gain a decent size lead and you would have to hit some high speeds before you pass him. I'm not sure exactly what year it was but it seemed like one of the newer ones.

 

i dunno except for when were on an incline i rutinely beat my friends v8 jeep its a quick car and will gain off the line but ive always been able to pull on him and end up beating him still a good kill
