i think it will go to whom ever gets better off the line. the times are similar and i have rode in both. but try to find one, but that may be hard conidering a lot of people that drive them are older. but u never know.
i raced a v8 LS several months ago... it was uphill from a stop light. 1st gear was even... 2-3-4 i kept pulling... but i'm a manual... i would expect a stock auto (weighted down) to get beat pretty bad. but with no crap in your trunk and just you in the seat, it could be close. the next time you see the car, find out.
Ive raced one
Let me tell you what will happen. You will by 60 mph have at least 1.5 car lengths on him if your manual. I didnt bother to check so forgive me if im misinformed on your car. This guy was at my house when i was having a party. One of my friends loves to see the 95 max race so he set up the challenge. He asked what the max had in it I said just a 3 liter v-6. He smirked and said he had a v-8, like he would own me. I know my max cant be taken by any pos ford, jag frankenstein experiment car. We lined up I even let him say go. He used that autostick. By the end of first gear i was a car length. By the end of 2nd I was 2 car lengths. I could see his headlights in my sideview pretty well. No more road left I shut it down. WE raced this way twice and both times same results. I know at the high speeds id still own him. Race him and own him like i owned this guy. My car had 110000 miles at the time and it has 0 mods not even suspension or intake.
