I know a couple people went with GR2 struts for their 2K+. What part numbers did you order? The online catalog at KYB.com doesn't list anything and Shox.com says their not out yet. Where did you get them and for how much? Any help appreciated. BTW shox.com did quote $330/set for Tokicos.

 

I don't know part number, but http://www.kybstruts.com sels them for $308/set. They are in Chicago, so if you are close you can pick them up and save on shipping.
What springs are you going to get? KYB only recommends Eibachs and I really want H&R beacuse they ride softer.

 

I got H&R springs through the GD that Avalon just had. I'm waiting to install them until I have good struts to go with them.

Does KYBSTRUTS.com have a storefront thats open on Saturdays? I could stop in there next time I head out that way. I guess I'll have to call them and see if they even have the GR2's in stock.

I think they are open on Saturday. They are located in Evanston, IL. I think they even have a shop which can install them for you.

Okay, so are these GR2s for the 5th gen (2k, 2k1) or are they for the 4th gen and modified? They don't sound modified or anything, but I had no idea that the GR2s had come out for 5th gens yet. They don't make the adjustable AGXs for the 5th gen yet right?

 

I'm looking for true 5th gen GR2 struts, not modified 4th gen parts. The AGX's are not out for 5th gen yet. I want to try the GR2's first because I won't need the adjustability if I'm happy with them as is. I also don't feel comfortable about the way the 4th gen parts have to be modified.

 

5th gen KYB struts will be on their 2003 catalog and will be released in mid 2003.

 

KYB does make a direct GR2 replacement for the 5th gen - not modified.

By saying KYB, do you mean the AGXs?

 

well, I thought both GR2 and AGX are in development.

 

AGX will be avail next year. GR2 exist they are on my car
