Lower Home Depot Grille - Can anyone help? (1995 GXE)

Well I recently went to home depot and made the grille for the upper grille, lower slit above the license plate, and cut out the spot where the factory fogs would go and put the mesh there as well. I have now tried 3 times to make the lower grille but haven't suceeded. I was wondering if anyone on the org makes grilles and sells them cause right about now i'm just ready to buy one.

I am working on the same thing, I will let you know how it comes out...I just thought about using a cardboard template and attatching it with wire ties in the center. I figured that if I made it just a LITTLE bit too big, it would wedge in there and not flap/move around...

BTW, do you have any pics of your painted tails?

Yeah, thats what I thought too, but not so. The lower grille has a weird angle and as it gets wider towards the middle it bends outwards making it really difficult, not to mention the fact that you have to work around the license plate.

Taking off the bumper seems like a lot of work. I thought I saw somewehre that Trenz made a lower grille, but I checked custommaxima.com and found only the upper piece. I figured I could just buy that, then cover it with the mesh.

As for pics, sorry not yet, once i drop my car i'm gonna get a bunch.

If anyone finds any kind of lower grille piece, let me know.

What I did, instead of taking the whole bumper off, is that I screwed small "L" brackets underneath the opening on each lower part of the openings. I sprayed them black so that they can be "hidden" from the naked eye. I then used tiny screws on each end to hold the mesh on. Actually, I like this way better, because the grille looks like it fits "flush" with the bumper, instead of sitting "behind" it.
