Datsun 810 vs Nissan Maxima

Hey when did Datsun change its name to nissan? Wasn't the first gen maxima actually called the 810??? just wondering props to the guys still driving first gens

No the 81-84 RWD sedans were maximas powered by the L24 IIRC. They are and will always be the best ones. It is messed up how 1st gens were RWD and now the newer ones are wrong wheel drive. Also anything from a chevy SBC-rotary-VG30ET-SR20DET will bolt into that car. It is the ultimate maxima, the problem is finding one in good shape.

you can find one, just have it restored or restore it yourself. If you have the dough get with the flow..
