14.91

I pulled that time off last night at the drag strip. Is that any good? I have a 2k2 with a stillen intake box. My second run sucked cause I had my wife in the car and sort of missed the light. It was low 15 seconds..

That is an average time witout the intake completly stock some of us run quicker, some a tad slower. I run 14.7 stock in my 02 SE.

well i ran a 14.6 bone stock. the next time I go to the track i will have an injen intake and a UDP. Maybe a y-pipe once the actual design is fitted and tested properly and actually shows at lease a 7-8 whp gain. hopefully I will be in the low 14's with these mods once it cools off.

Don't worry about it, i asked that question a couple weeks ago myself. From what i know, u hold down the brake with ur left foot and press the gas while holding the brake down, to the desired RPM u want, and then let go of the brake when the green light comes on.

Yeah, i agree with the guys, that's about a stock time, it varies from car to car, although you should run a little faster than that, unless you have a system or something else weighing your car down a bit?

danke....and dun do it too often, it hurts the tranny.

The # sounds pretty decent if you're an auto. There are so many factors of why it wasn't higher that I wouldn't blame your car. Temp, altitude, weight (wife, full tank of gas, 10" woofers, etc) and rxn time have the most to do with it. Good job, now look for improvements!

I haven't had a chance to get to the track yet..can't wait.

I ran a 14.902sec@92.02mph in my stock 2K2 SE auto, so you probably ran an average stock time for an auto.

I have a manual, and it was my first time ever at the track. Its good to know I'm right up there, but bad to know I probably wont improve much! hehe. A guy stopped me to tell me that his friend was doing 14.3 and 14.4's consistently the other night, but that was a different track.

No, I didnt torque brake, I didnt drop the clutch either, I dont like that idea! I think if I did, my tires would bounce/slap anyway, They are potenzas..

You can't torque break a manual. However, if you're not dropping the clutch, that would explain your time. Makes a big difference.

My time was lower, but my brother was at 15.2 in a GLE 2K2... I really dont think I could run that right now with the humidity, and heat here in San Diego right now. My G tech has been showing 15's all week ! I was at 14.9 2 weeks ago, when I first got my 19's... but now the heat has kicked in !

i honestly do not like the idea of brake torque. i dont want to find out how much its gonna cost me to replace those electronic controled motor mounts. i have broked so many motor mount int som many cars is just rediculous. so i dont dont brake torque in my car at all, i floor it but the brake torque causes the motor mounts to stretch a onger period of time thats necessary even 3-4 sec holding can screw **** up, i did it once and it made some wierd A$$ noises for about 20min then went away.

I broke 3 sets of motor mounts in my 89 Stang by using Drag Radials.... those are the real Motor mount killers !

Reaction time doesn't count towards your ET and doesn't matter in time trials... you can sit at the green light for a minute and stilll run 9s

What was the temp/humidity ?
