QUICK! How do you take off the valve cover gaskets!

Last night I forgot to put my old gaskets on my new valve cover! I drove it now my car is outside spilling oil!
Should I clean the old ones, If so how do I get them off the old VC or should I just get new vc gaskets?
BTW- Im going out of town tom, so can I just leave the Valve Cover on with no gaskets on, should I take it off for a week?

You can reuse the old one. Just clean it up with a rag and make sure you use grey slicone gasket adhesive on the cam section. Yes, you can let the car sit without the gasket. Just don't drive the car anymore without on, all that oil will make a mess under the engine bay. If you have time, I would suggest you buy a new valve cover gasket at the Nissan dealership. Let me know when you mail your old valve cover back to me.

What exactley are the gaskets? I dont really know where they are. What would you reccomend to put another coat of polish on the VC. How many gaskets would I need for the valve cover, my dealer said they would need to order them and it would take 3 days.

To buff the polished valve cover up, use Mothers chrome polish or Blue magic chrome polish. Follow the instruction on container.
