120K service and mpg down why??

I just did my 120k service at Nissan and now my mpg is 26ish. I used to get 27ish. I drive the same way....ie roads to and from work, around town, no change in driving habbits? Any ideas?

Thanks
Chris

That's not really a remarkable change..it only fell one mile. It could be due to weather or the particular batch of gas you got, or any number of other factors that change often.

I don't see a problem with 26 MPG. Factor in where you live, it's been HOT AS HE11 too. That alone can contribute to a loss of gas mileage.

18 MPG

I get about 18 MPG on the Highway, with very minimal city driving.
Maybe my emergency brake is UP (nope!). Maybe one of my caliper is stocked. (I'll find out one of this days). OR Maybe I drive a little too fast.

Thanks for the info guys.

I had really hoped even with the hot weather that with the tune up I would get at least the same as before the tune-up. I will check the next couple of tank fulls to see what's happening.

As for the gas....I always go to the same gas station and always prem fuel that I have been using for years without any problems....but I guess that it is possible that I got a bad tank.

The 120k and 60k are the same service.

I have already changed my knock senor.....mmmmmm power again

at about the same reading on my odometer my mileage suddenly dropped from the mid 20's to the high teens.

after doing some research I had my mechanic replace two oxygen sensors.

that did the trick!!
