How about forced induction?

Ok, there's been alot of discussion about turboing gen 2s, even twin turbos hehehehe. The consensus is you can do it with alot of cash and modification. What about a supercharger? Is there one available for the vg30? Doesn't effect me one way or the other, just trying to offer some constructive input.

No, there's no supercharger available for the 2nd gen. There's really not too much room where you'd have to put the supercharger, so I don't even think one would fit. I don't think that there's a supercharger available for the 3rd gens either. Stillen offers a supercharger kit for the 4th gens though.

Re: How about forced induction?

Believe it or not the VG30ET swap is the easiest. You get the turbo motor that already has the higher capacity oil pump and the pan already has the drain built in. You get lower compression pistons + bigger injectors. Aside from the alternator mounting, front engine mount and adding the 1 wire from the Z31 turbo ECU to the knock sensor. The swap is pretty much plug and play. That is after you get the custom intake/exhaust piping made. I would say that one could pull the swap off for $1000-2000 on top of the engine cost. So at the most figure $2500-2800 for a turn key turbo swap.
