HELP! Where is the tranny drain plug!? 94 GXE

hey folks,

today i noticed a bit of hesitiation shifting on the freeway on my 94 GXE, i got home took a look at the dipstick and sure enough...my fluid was looking kinda brown and was kinda smelly (it's only 3 months old, but i live in san antonio and it's benn really hot so...).

i bought everything to drain and refil my fluid, but i can't find the damn plug to drain it out! i checked in my haynes manual and the picture they have is from a 95 which looks different than mine...

where can i find this!? (pictures would be nice...the last thing i need right know is from my trany to die on me and i'm just hoping some new fluid will do my baby well...

thank you!

i haven't installed a tranny cooler...but i think i should. i hadn't installed one because i was weary of seriously messing up my max in the process of doing so...

i've searched for info on it...but i didn't find any tutorials with pictures (i'm a visual learner), do any exist?

btw: i found that plug but my 1/2 socket is a large breaker bar type that doesn't quite fit in there (that thing is on there tight) so i need to find one with a smaller handle/shaft

heres the link for the 4th gen install. its basically the same https://maxima.org/shoptalk/sub_modi...er/index.shtml

before the tranny cooler install i hadn't done anything to major to my car and i did it fine. so you shouldn't have any problems.

honest opinions...

do you think this means that my tranny is sure to die soon?
i do check my fluid regularly. yesterday i was all over town in the heat and whatnot and today i noticed the hesitation and immediately looked at the fluid...kinda browning, not smelling very new. so at the most the stinky fluid has only been churning around in there for a few hours. is that enough to kill my poor baby you think?

any thoughts/experiences you have would help...am i still in a relatively safe zone, or should i be trying to make friends with some transmission specialists and picking up the bus schedule? =(

thanks!

if you can't get the plug loose, just bang your fist against the bar, that always works me for at work.
