KYB AGX in the rear
KYB AGX in the rear
For those of you who have AGX in the rear, did you do a mirror image of the 2 assemblys, or both facing the same way? I have mine as a mirror image right now, but I cant help but think that because of the angle of the strut and how they are 180 degrees opposite, the springs dont end up at the same places at the top, maybe causing some uneveness in the car. I'm thinking about switching mine so the **** faces the same way, so they will both be the same. Thoughts?

Both shocks/dials face inwards. Very easy to adjust them. Just remember righty tighty, lefty losey. Also remember what setting your on to start with!
I know what you mean about the spring not sitting right. The top spring perch on one shock assy. was tilted when I went to put it in. In my car it's the drivers side that always winds up that way. I don't think it makes any difference at all. Once the spring is compressed and all with the weight of the car, everything sits just fine.

i installed it on my friend's car so that the ***** are facing the INSIDES of the car. aka. the adjusting **** faces the exhaust ..
easiest way so you dont have to remove the stinkin' tire to change settings.

Eric, did you notice a difference when you were driving or did the thought just pop into your head?
So this means when I install them I shouldnt be as concerned about the springs being in the perfect position?

What luck that I came across this thread, I'll be putting mine in this week. And I thought the dial was supposed to go on the outside....

Thought came into my mind cause I was looking at the car and if they're mounted at the opposite directions (I know its hard, but try to picture this), the spring winds up in different positions. However, after driving around today and checking at various times, the drop seems to be pretty even. Mount the **** facing INSIDE the car, otherwise you wont be able to get to them without loosing the rear rims.
