Air Horns + Shock Sensor to Factory Alarm... Enough?
Air Horns + Shock Sensor to Factory Alarm... Enough?
The title says it all.
Do you think if i added a 130dB airhorn and shock sensor to the stock alarm it would be enough security? (Please ignore the ambiguity of the word enough, assume that enough means enough for you).
Yes I have searched, but i want real reasons why an aftermarket alarm would be better. I will either do this or get a viper 600 with trunk pin/pop and starter kill.
Basically, i want to feel that if i get the viper, i would be gaining something, right now i feel i would be spending $370 for a shock sensor and louder horn and lose the window roll down and dome light supervision (i know i can add these, but they are expensive).

I can switch it on and off with one motion as i set release the brake.
Just remember, if you forget to switch it on then try to start the car, turn the key off and wait a second before switching it on and starting... I blew the IGN fuse by switching it quickly, luckly the power windows/locks/sunroof fuse is the same so i could get home.

why do you need to wait? is the ignition fuse a small fuse in the panel or one of the large fuses in the engine bay?
