OK, I noticed it about 3 times now so I thought I'd ask.

This afternoon, I was accelerating up a hill and when my RPMs hit about 3500 RPM in 2nd, I would hear this Pffsst....Pffsst..sound from the engine compartment that lasts about 1/2 a second to 1 second. I checked the belts, AT shiftss fine, A/C works fine, everything works fine, I just can't figure out this sound. The only other time it happened to me was about a week ago under similar circumstances.

I sounds like it's blowing off excess pressure for an instant....or something like that.

Any ideas?

 

Get a used Turbo Maxima? BOV. Psssssssh.
