I want to remove outside door trim, questions

My door trim on the outside of my car is fading really badly and starting to look white, when the car is dark green this isn't a good thing. Anyway, I don't have the money to get them repainted so I was debating about taking them off. Has anyone done this and if so is it just like removing the emblems off the car? Are there any holes or anything else I should be aware of that is not noticeable from looking at the car? Any help is appreciated.

Could we just tape off the sides and use some stuff from paintscratch.com?

If you mean the bump strips on the doors. Mine are fading as well. But you cannot just take them off, there are holes.

My car is also dark green and my moldings were white along the top edges. Mask off the doors around the moldings and spray 3 light coats of paint. I did mine over 6 months ago and still matches perfect even if you look up close. It's the exact color with the sparkle flakes in it.
I'll look into that. . . Last time I looked there they only had stuff for american cars, although it may just be the area I live in. Maybe they can order the color I need.

I belive Shadow removed the door bumpers, I don't know exactly what he did but I am sure if you search you can find more info. Keep in mind the door bumpers are your first defense against A$$holes in parking lots.
