Punctured a hole onto the interior side of my car
I was moving a desk a few days ago in my maxima (stupid me) and when I got home, I saw a hole in the vinyl right under my door handle on the interior side of my car. Well being a perfectionist with my car, I took it to a dealer and asked if they knew what I could do to fix it right up so its as good as new. The hole is about 3-4mm wide in diamter. It's small, but it still matters alot to me. So does anybody know how I can fix this right up so its as good as new? I've looked at some vinyl repair kits at Kragen, but nobody there knows how well it works or if the color will even even match up right.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!! If this hole were any bit bigger, I'd be having troubles sleeping at night.

I have the same exact hole from a sharp computer corner except its right next to the handle. I saw this vinyl repair kit which seems like you add some sort of vinyl compund to it and melt it on the hole to cover it but I dint think it would look too pretty.
yea, I saw a vinyl repair kit at my local Kragen too. It's got some bottle of vinyl sealant or something. It also comes with a few little bottles of paint (black, beige, etc.) that you use to repaint the surface of the hole. It looks like a pretty crappy repair kit, which is why I didn't buy it. But I hope somebody else knows something better I can do to repair it.
that sucks
i bought my car with a 2 inch tear in the dashboard, to the right of the A/C controls.. with another one, about a 1/2 inch and few inches below..
I bought that vinyl repair kit from Pepboys.. first, you have to mix a color to match it to the one of the surface you are repairing then you add a hardener compound and heat it up i believe.. then apply it to the surface.. I was not able to match the colors and i had to scrape the compound off a few times but I'm telling you, this repairing kit is crap because even if you do match the colors, which is really nearly impossible, seeing how when it dries it is a completely different shade.. then the compound will flake off little by little and become dull.. you'd have to wax your dashboard in that spot to keep it looking okay.. In turn it came out looking worse than it was before, so I had to buy a whole new dashboard and spend 3 days swapping the two, taking out the airbags and disconnecting everything
I'll never do that again.. I suggest you find a used door panel in your color and swap them..

best bet is just to find a used door panel somewhere. ive tried using ther vinyl/leather repair kits and even payed the so called professionals to do it. itll stop the hole from gettin any bigger but it wont look anything near new or atleast that my 2 cents
