2k2 Mystery Button

Anyone out there have a button with a seat on it with arrows implying foward and reverse motion and the word Auto on it next to the heated steering wheel button on the Meridian editions?

Here's my question. It looks like this button is for the Entry/Exit system where the seats automatically move when you get out of the car. Here's the problem, my car is a 2k2 SE 6sp. [B]According to the owner's manual, this is only available on the Autos![B} My button doesn't appear to do anything, and I have set the memory seats.

Are there any other 2k2 SE 6spds out there with this button, and does it do anything? Can't believe they'd put a button and not have it doing anything. What's up with that?

Use the search, this has been discussed before. Short answer, off will disable the auto seats, on seems to do nothing (seats never retract as in a car with an auto).

I guess when they build the car, they don't know if it's a 6sp or auto. They just know it has the auto seat feature. So, I guess they just put in the switch. Hmmm, I wonder if it's just simply connecting something to make it work. Hmmmmm....

on 6 speeds that button ables and disables the seat memory buttons.

if it is in the auto position, the seat memory buttons will function. if it is in the cancel position then the seat memory buttons will do nothing.

Don't believe him. It's an eject button.

Re: 2k2 Mystery Button

Hey bud, that button is to "turn off" the memory seat function. Switch it to cancel and when you select one of the two memory options, the settings won't adjust.
