If you replaced "CRX" with "Maxima" I would've let it go even if it wasn't true.

Ok, Kev from now on I'll put the word MAXIMA in my sig, therefore none of my posts can be considered OT and thus NOT worthwhile for people to read.

I taped the whole show, yeah it's a greyish 3rd generation maxima.
It looks stock so don't get all excited.

Oh? So EVERY post in threads must have MAXIMA in it, huh?

Don't make me sign up for a new sig name.

I don't know what it is lately, but Bills' been on a rampage in the general section. And then there is SpriteyMax

I feel sad, but I'm getting tired of this place. I've been lurking around some of the new Maxima forums, but so far none have impressed me either.

If it wasn't for Kevs' and Tims' forum, I'd have been out of here already. It's really been down hill ever since the new server.

absolute power corrupts!!!

we still love you though

and even though the show did not focus on maxima...they made a valid point....if there were more legal locations for races....there would (hopefully) be less illegal street racing

but then again who knows...i guess we need a poll to see home many of the max drivers would rather go to a track for legal races (and not have to worry about accidents, tickets, and impounds)

or would they rather street race which is more dangerous, uncontrolled with many negative outcomes

I've only done one "race" with my max since i got her...and it was on the street, it was unplanned and it was just because we noticed one another and gave it ago....that one race was enough for me because there were too many "what if's" that could have happened

I would like to race again to test my driving skills and to see what my car can do...but i would prefer to do it at a track

unfortunately the track that is the closest to me is STILL too far away

anyway...what do you gentleman prefer...street or legal racing???

Highway racing where speed goes into triple digits.

Legal.

However, I rarely get to the track and I always find the "good" races to be on the street. The track is to advanced for my street car, but I plan on getting a track car eventually to beat up regularly.

The MONEY part of the show was quite intriguing though. I bet that would be pretty popular if the track would allow it.

I can only imagine if you had a 5spd SC? That extra "POWER" would lock the whole site down!

Ms. Thicknes: Street racing offers a couple things: The danger of getting caught, and the element of surprise. Most of the races we encounter are actually unplanned things while out and about. The people in that show really do need to be on a track. Those cars are making crazy power. I am up for the occasional jaunt down the street, but it definetly won't be planned in advance. If you're a real racer you take it to the track.

steelymatt: Our cars would be toast against all of the cars that raced in that program. They were doing over 109MPH in their quarters. That would put them around the 11-12 second mark I think. 2k2 6sp Maxes are averaging low 14s at 94-96MPH...Soooooo, can you say spanky spank!

I agree, but their launches didn't seem very good.
Haha Greg Blew up his motor, that's one heck of an expensive mistake.
How much are those motors each? like $6,000 a pop?

MTV.

So can cops actually force you to open the hood of your car? I can understand it if they actually catch you racing, but if you're just spectating?
