rough day
rough day
i never street race, in fact, i very rarely push my car hard at all. had a rough day though, and i wasn't in the mood to deal with some of the drivers i came across today. first incident, i was sitting first in line in the center lane and i needed to get over to the left lane to make a turn. there was a chain of cars behind the RAV4 next to me, so i figured i'd just get in front of him. i launch normally (2700rpms), knowing that if he too launched normally, i'd pass him no problem. except he keeps up, and then i hear his anemic engine push hard. not sure if it was floored but it was close. anyway, i pass him easily with my engine spinning at 4500rpms. right after this though, to my right i got another one of these people, trying to keep up with me in a 300zx. i dont know them too well, but it looked old. through my open passenger window, this guy is at wide open throttle. normally, i'd let him go, but i decided to hammer it. scooted ahead no problem. i know that neither cars would be serious contenders with a 2k2, but i still got to actually feel how fast the 2k2 is. glad to know what it can actually do
Re: Re: rough day
i said it "looked old". also a previous post that i just looked up said that the quarter mile time for a 300Z is 15.9 seconds.

I take my car over 4k RPM at least 10 times a day.
VB Mod helping the Tranny, and the Engine can deal with it fine. (2 years of driving like that, and my compression is unchanged).
So floor it all you want!
(But be safe, of course)
