which of the following three tires is better?
nitto 555
falken ze502
toyo proxes fz4

i'm looking for ride quality and low noise (not performance). prob in 245/35/19's. thanks.

 

Try searching.
But I've heard Nittos are overrated, but Kloogy has them and seems to like them.
Falkins are pretty good, but not many people are using them, so that might say something.
And Toyos are great IMHO but I usually try to find the best deal, i.e Dunlop FM901's.
I've been looking at Federal Tires
alot lately because they're fairly cheap and offer good performance.

I LOVE my Nittos. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I have had two sets of Toyo Proxes FZ4s. They are also good, but I like the Nittos much better. I wish I had bout Nittos for my 18"s, but I have FZ4s.

 

heard that the toyo's become noisy as the miles are put on it...is that true? what about the nitto's?

 

Both tires are relatively new. it's hard to judge because I have the Nittos on 17"s and the Toyos on 18"s. Obviously the 17"s are smoother. But they are MUCH smoother. I'd personally get Nittos

By the way, Nittos and Toyos are owned by the same parent company. that's why you don't see too many shops that carry both Nittos and Toyos. They don't want to compete with each other because of that.

Falkens I have heard mixed things about. I have heard from more than one shop that they are crappy and wear quickly. But my buddy just bought some Azenis for his Prelude and he loves them. They have a very clean, sharp looking sidewall.
