Zaino Bros? Which item do I need?

Looking at the Zaino website, I have no idea which item it is I am looking for.

I have already claybarred my car and the finish is awesome, so I don't think I need a scratch remover or anything.

All I want is for my car and wheels to be shiny. Like, ridiculously shiny.

This is what I use now:
Meguiars Car Wash
Mother's Clay Bar
Zymol Wax
Meguiars Quick Mist Detailer (I love this stuff)

What should I be using to make it shinier?

And there are like 15 pages in the "Cleaning tips" section that I would rather not have to sift through. I tried and after page 3 I gave up......

Plus it's 4:45AM....a great time to postwhore.

Zaino

Here is what I use and it still looks fantastic!

Z-1 (apply first)

Z-2 (apply second on top of the Z-1. Don't take the Z-1 off, just apply the Z-2 after you have applied the Z-1)

Wipe off when dry (About 2-3 hrs. Comes off very easily. Use a
100 % cotton bath towel)

Z-10 (Apply to the leather every 4 months)

That's it!!

Of note, when you apply the Z-1 & Z-2 you only need about the size of an eraser head for each panel. A little goes a long way. I apply it once a month to keep the finish smooth and clean to our two cars. One bottle last a year for me.

Have fun and enjoy the shine!!

Hey ASU174, here's all the info you need to get the shiniest car
http://www.autopia.ws/forums/index.php

Here's what I did to make the car shine like all hell.
1. Meguiar's GC wash
2. Mother's Clay bar
3. Meguiars #20 Polymer Sealant (Glass like shine)($13.99)
4. Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax (Will give you less shine but a deeper finish, Also helps with the longevity of the shine)($9.99)

P.S.-Do not use that Zymol Cleaner wax if that's what you're using. It's absolute crap and does not last. (Made by Turtle Wax). Hope this helps, if not check out the Autopia site.

If you want your car really shine it's going to cost you. Actually all you really need since you are more into the exterior appearance of your car are

Z2 $13
Z5 $17
ZFX $20
Z6 $16
Z7 $8
total around $80 should last at least 6 months. That is basically what I use the ZFX is a must if you want to do multiple coats with out waiting hours and hours. I have more than 20 coats on my car to date maybe 30 by now. When you look at the front of my car from the inside you can't even see what color my car is it's like a mirror now all you see is dust particles and the refection of the road and trees like loking through glass!!!

There are a lot of products that have the initial shine of Zaino, but only a few (maybe Klasse) will be shining like that 6 weeks to several months later. The initial cost of Z may seem high but you are only going to put then layers of the product on so it will last a long time.

Since you have a white car, I would go with the following basics:

ZFX
Z-2(clearcoat polish)
Z-6(quick detailer spray)
Z-7(car wash)

If you have some minor blemishs then Z-5(polish for Swirls) could help, but is not neccesary. If you have real swirls I would get 3m Swirlmark Remover. Z-5 just fills them in. On dark cars z-5 is almost a must have, on my Majestic Blue I left z-5 as top layer because it leaves a deeper wetter look rather than shiny reflective look of z-2. I will eventually add some more z-2.

Since Zaino is so optically clear you need a near perfect finish before you wax, because it will highlight imperfections. But, I think you should try the Z.

Pep Boys. $9.99 each bottle. I got step 7 and step 26.

Also, I have a feeling that the gloss enhancer spray is similar to the Meguiars Quick Mist Detailer, which I SWEAR by.

Marcus- If this Meguiars stuff sucks, I'm gonna take your advice.

I thought it was just me but the Z5 does look deeper and wetter than the Z2! Of course I have more coats of Z2 but when I top it off with Z5 it completes the look!!!!

zfx = z1 + z2 premixed as far as I know.

I use
Mothers clay bar $15
Z1 to apply a thin coat to haze
Z2 aplly over Z1
$22

let sit for about 30 to 40 min and come back with a clean 100% cotton
towel rub. You will be pleased

If you are not impressed, u are blind! (sorry)

I'll have to try that..I usually finish with Z2 then spray and polish with Z6
This pic is after zaino claybar and maybe 5 coats of Z2. You can see the nice reflection it gives of our lamp post and flower bed

P.S. I claybared my windows yesterday and it got rid of the sandblasted look on the side windows and realy improved the windshield

Truth be told, you can get decent results. It just depends on the methods you use to prep your paint. Case in point, this is what I have done to my 2002.

- Washed with Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo
- Clayed with Clay Magic Clay Bar
- Polished with Klasse All In One
- Topped with Pinnacle Souveran

Pretty soon, I am going to be doing the following to my 2002:

- Wash with Dawn to remove the previous waxes
- Clay with Clay Magic Clay Bar
- Polish with Klasse All In One and a Porter Cable 7336 Orbital Polisher and a White Foam Pad
- Polish glass with Zaino Z-12 Glass Polish and the forementioned Porter Cable
- Apply Klasse Sealant Glaze using the same Porter Cable and a gray finishing pad.
- Steam Cleaning carpet, seats, and headliner
- After final coat of Klasse Sealant Glaze (somewhere around 3 or 4), I am going to top it with S100 for everyday. But when it's Max meet time, the Souveran comes out to play.

The pictures of my 2002 you have already seen are just from me applying Klasse All In One and Souveran by hand.

Here are a couple hi res pics showing the shine...like I have said I have used pretty well evrything out there (except Klasse) and I haven't found anything out there that is so easy to apply and get off again. When you apply it you can barely tell its there, so a bottle lasts forever
